In the first quarter of 2021, the Match 3 gaming category witnessed fluctuating performance numbers for the top applications on the unified platform in Europe. Sensor Tower provides a detailed look at how these games fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Gardenscapes, published by Playrix, showed revenue numbers starting at approximately $3.1M in the last week of December 2020, peaking at around $3.8M in early March before settling at $3.3M by the end of March. Downloads for the game saw a downward trend from 720K at the end of December to 472K by March end. Weekly active users also decreased from approximately 5.6M to 5.2M in the same period.

Playrix's Homescapes experienced a revenue trend with a high of $3.7M mid-January, a dip to $2.6M in early March, and concluding the quarter at around $2.4M. Downloads for the game slightly decreased from 870K to 576K, and the weekly active users started at 7.3M, reaching a high of 7.8M in mid-March, and then slightly dropping to 7.4M by the end of the quarter.

Empires & Puzzles: Match 3 RPG by Zynga Inc. saw an initial revenue of $1.5M in late December, a sharp increase to $2.3M by mid-January, and a closing revenue of $2.1M. Downloads began at 84K, peaked at 94K in early February, and ended the quarter with 86K. Weekly active users were relatively stable, beginning with 1.5M and ending with 1.5M.

Lastly, Playrix's Fishdom showed revenue starting at $1.5M, peaking at $1.7M in early March, and finishing the quarter at $1.5M. Downloads for Fishdom had a slight drop from 474K to 425K, while weekly active users remained fairly steady, starting at 2.4M and ending at 2.4M.
